For those that look for excellence in their gaming terrain, they need to look no further than Dwarven Forge. This company was founded by Stefan Pokorny in the 1990’s. Their incredibly detailed gaming pieces are used for Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and other role-playing games. They are also famously used on Critical Role, where their pieces often get play-tested prior to public availability. Dwarven Forge has built their empire on Kickstarters, with each new set getting public support before being created. And now, their next set is arriving to Kickstart on August 9th, 2020.
This is Dwarven Forge’s eight Kickstarter. It is titled Wildlands, and has been recently featured on Critical Role. It contains terrain perfect for swamps, forests, and mountains. Right now they are offering sneak peaks into the details of this module, but when the Kickstarter is about to go live fans can get a glimpse of details of the module as well as the varying pledge options. In the past, they have offered a range of $10 pledges for basic terrain to $500+ for multiple sets. They also include multiple unlockable goals.
Dwarven Forge is not necessarily known for being cheap. But with their quality, one of the best in the business, they remain a top choice for serious table-top gamers. They often partner with big names, such as Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeons and Dragons, for large events. In 2019, D&D had a live event announcing their new campaign book Descent into Avernus. This event featured a massive hellscape display by Dwarven Forge as part of one of their new Kickstarters.
While waiting for the start of this impressive Kickstart on August 9th, fans can go to their website to purchase sets for castle building, dungeon crawls, icy caverns, lava pools, and various accessories to along with any kind of set.
