Dying Light 2 shares many mechanics with other open-world games in its genres. Things such as weapon durability, resource gathering, and a seemingly infinite amount of side activities to do are all features that are plentiful in the game. One feature that you may be having questions about as soon as you unlock the open-world section of the game though is fast travel. What is an open-world game without fast travel anyways, right? While Dying Light 2 does feature a fast travel system, how you unlock it is a bit more obscure. Don’t worry though, because I have you covered.
How to Fast Travel in Dying Light 2
Before you consider running around the area of Old Villedor and checking menus looking to see if there’s something you missed, don’t bother. You have a long road to go before fast travel becomes possible. Instead, you’ll want to progress through the game until you finally make it to the Central Loop and complete some of the early tasks. This will take roughly 10 hours, so be sure to get comfy. Once you do finally reach that zone though, you’ll have three fast travel locations available to you on your map. There will be one on the left side of the Central Loop, one in the ship base of the Peacekeepers, and one more over in Old Villedor. This is also how you return to that location, should there be any side content you missed.
Now you may be asking “But how do I get more?” and you can through the old metro stations, but it’s not quite that easy. Each will have a fair bit of puzzle solving and parkour to do to get the power back on, but once you do this, you’ll be in the clear and have unlocked another fast travel point wherever you find said metro station!
