Dying Light 2 is a game of many choices, with seemingly infinite possibilities for different players. From small choices that are merely meant to help you shape who your Aiden is, to massive choices that will completely change the world around you, if you like choices in games, this is the game for you. Because of these choices, there are more than enough choices that can be made that will affect your ending. And as such, there’s a “best ending” that can be gotten. How do you get this, you may ask? Well in this Dying Light 2 guide, we’ll show you how to get the best ending!
How to Get the Best Ending in Dying Light 2
First things first, you’ll want to be sure that you side with the Survivors at many key points throughout the game. This will include during the initial Water Tower capture, along with giving Frank the radio transmitter during the mission Broadcast. This will leave The City in a state of peace and prosperity, as the oppressive Peacekeepers will be heavily resisted and eventually taken down. That, and the Peacekeepers are just incredibly rude throughout the game towards you and those around you. To top it off, you’ll have to make sure Hakon is alive. I know you might not like that since he’s a master manipulator, but he’s key for later parts of the game.
The other two major decisions come near the end of the game. The first takes place when you storm the Butcher’s compound and Lawan has him at the end of her crossbow. When here, you’ll want to make sure Lawan puts down her gun rather than shooting him, as (spoiler alert) he’s telling the truth about preventing the missiles from being launched. And the final choice, being the final choice of the entire game, needs to be to let Lawan detonate the bombs. I know that may seem like she’ll die, but she’ll live thanks to Hakon coming to save her.
Doing all of this will result in an ending where The City is put in good hands and Aiden is remembered as a hero. As he walks away from The City though on his journey, he won’t be alone as Lawan will choose to join him. This in turn, provides the best and happiest ending for Dying Light 2!
