Dying Light 2 offers a mostly robust crafting system that lets you craft useful consumables on the fly, helping you to take down whatever foe (or foes) choose to get in your way. These could range from medkits, which heal you for a portion of your health bar, or useful UV lamps, which can be thrown to ward off a nasty group of hostile Infected. With so many craftables to choose from though, you may be wondering how you can improve the ones you use the most. No need to worry though as, in this guide, we’ll tell you exactly how to upgrade blueprints in Dying Light 2!
How to Upgrade Blueprints in Dying Light 2
Surprisingly, upgrading these is a lot simpler than you might think. Firstly, you’ll want to head to the local Craftmaster. They can be found in any major civilian outposts, with the Bazaar being the first one you get access to. Once there, navigate to their Upgrade menu in the Craftmaster’s shop window, and you’ll see all your blueprints. Each of these lists a certain improvement, with one example being the Lockpick getting stronger durability and becoming easier to use on locked chests. To upgrade a specific blueprint though, you’ll need some specific crafting materials.
Most of these can be found by simply rummaging through the world and various locations (Survivor Sense can help a ton with this). One unique resource you’ll need though are the Infected Trophies. Each of them can be gotten from a specific set of Infected when looted, depending on their rarity and difficulty to take down. The higher the rarity of the Infected Trophy, the more rare and difficult the Infected. Once you have an adequate amount of those though, alongside the other resources, you can upgrade the blueprints to your heart’s content and make your adventures just a little easier!
