Dying Light 2 is just around the corner, with the game’s launch currently set for February 4. There’s a lot, and I mean a LOT, of excitement around Dying Light 2 and how it could potentially have a stronger launch that Dying Light 1. And with everything that’s been shown so far, seemingly one-upping what the first game did, there’s a true chance for greatness. But before we dip our toes into an entirely new zombie survival title, Dying Light 1 seems to want to give its game the proper send-off it deserves. Today, the team has announced the Dying Light Spike’s Story: Last Call event, which could very well be the final update the game receives. Before delving in though, check out the trailer below.
Dying Light Spike’s Story: Last Call follows the death of Rais, seeing his legion of bandits run around like a group of headless chickens. The problem is that these headless chickens have a lot of weapons, and the remaining citizens of Harran are there for the taken. As if matters couldn’t be more chaotic, one of the survivor camps has inadvertently released a new host of fresh Virals to tackle. But despite all this death and madness, not all hope is lost. Spike has decided to take charge and is working to create a safe haven for the remaining survivors, but he’ll need help. Get out there, help the survivors, and end the lives of some useless bandits and Virals.
Dying Light Spike’s Story: Last Call will be a multi-stage event, featuring tons of rewards and activities to partake in. During the entire event, you can get two Trap Bombs from Spike each day, electric weapon mods will be much stronger than normal, firecrackers and the UV flashlight will be much stronger, and Spike will give you some extra Survivor points for Air Drops. For part one exclusively though, survivors in protection suits will fight alongside you during specific battles. What more could you ask for?
Make sure to jump in quick, as the event will switch to part two come January 28. You don’t have too long, so the more you do now the better. Will you be taking part in the newest Dying Light event? Do you think this will be the last event for the original game? Let me know in the comments below!
