The developer behind the popular Killing Floor series, Tripwire, announced a summer event for Killing Floor 2 entitled The Summer Sideshow during E3 2017. The limited summer event will feature a new map, The Tragic Kingdom, full of gory carnival games, creep, carny baddies (like a chainsaw wielding monkey), and new items and costumes for your characters to unlock and discover. Fans of the series can also expect to see a new game type called The Weekly Outbreak. Each week, Summer Sideshow will feature a new challenge that will unlock a rare item when completed. According to the developer, they have about two months of these weekly events planned.
The event begins tomorrow, and in perfect timing, Killing Floor 2 will be free to play for the next week. For those interested in the event, it will only last for a limited amount of time, so be sure to check it out sooner rather than later.
There is plenty more to see today with Ubisoft and Sony’s conferences later this evening, so make sure to stick around! Here is an official schedule for your viewing pleasure. And, as always, keep an eye on The Nerd Stash as we will be showing and covering the events live!
