The most popular Battle Royale game around (Sorry PUBG) is headed to the Nintendo Switch! After weeks of leaks and rumors surrounding the titles Nintendo port, today Epic Games officially announced that Fortnite is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The best part? It is already available digitally!
Alongside this announcement, it was revealed that almost every version of Fortnite will support crossplay. This means that regardless of whether they are on Xbox One, PC, or Mobile, you’ll be able to play the Battle Royale title with all of your friends! Sony and the PlayStation 4 are the only title not included in the deal.
Sony has been at odds with Microsft regarding cross-play for a while now, failing to come to terms on a deal. That hasn’t stop Xbox boss Phil Spencer and Epic though.
“With each new platform we support and every update we ship, we strive to bring Fortnite to more people, and make it easier to play together with friends,” Epic said at the time. “And, as always, cross-play is opt in.”
