Star Wars Battlefront II had a rocky start. Between is arguably mediocre campaign and the drama over its microtransactions, the game was one mired in controversy. The EA conference at E3 2018 made no attempts to hide this. Instead, it sought to correct those mistakes. Design Director, Dennis Brannavall, addressed the company’s intention to win back the faith of the fans. To that end, he revealed that the next destination for the game is an iconic era of the franchise – the Clone Wars.
This new DLC is based on the pivotal conflict in Star Wars canon. Also, according to Brannavall, it comes with several new heroes and villains. For starters, there’s General Grievous, Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker. The DLC also comes with several new maps, including what’s reportedly the largest in the game’s history. With all that said, this latest expansion has no release date at this time.
