In the past few years, the Electronic Entertainment Expo has often felt a little detached from the community. Whether this is due to the lack of content showcased is understandable, considering recent years. Fans have been feeling disinterested in E3 for a few years running now. After a few years of digital-only events, these feelings have only grown. Yet, many still hold onto a gap E3 left. The event started to shutter after Nintendo stopped hosting an on-stage presentation. Sony also effectively pulled out of E3 2019 before any other big-name publisher. While the only digital event held after the 2020 cancelation was E3 2021, the event failed to capitalize. Promising bigger and better things, now ESA is looking to make their grand return. Promising a new in-person event with digital events as well, ESA is teaming up with PAX organizer ReedPop for E3 2023.

What Will E3 2023 In-Person Event Look Like?
Despite not having an event this year, the Summer Games Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley attempted to fill that void. Now, after this year’s Summer Games Fest, a new in-person event for that show is planned for next year. While the details are sparse as of now, ESA has confirmed that E3 2023 will be held in Los Angeles. Working with popular event organizing coordinating team ReedPop, the company has been responsible for many fun events, including but not limited to Star Wars Celebration and New York Comic-Con. Of course, the team is also famous for bringing PAX to gamers, which is more than likely what E3 2023 will shape up to resemble. Be sure to check back for more of the latest news on what E3 2023 will have in store next summer.
