The Office and The Hangover star Ed Helms is joining Dallas Buyers Club star Jennifer Garner in the Netflix body-swap comedy Family Leave. The film will be directed by McG (The Babysitter: Killer Queen) and written by Adam Sztykiel (Black Adam). The film will be an adaption of the book Bedtime For Mommy by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
Family Leave will follow Ed Helms as Bill, with Jennifer Garner playing his wife, Jess. The two parents are doing the best they can to maintain a close relationship with their children as they grow older, thus becoming more distant and independent. They meet with an astrological reader, and the next day, they awaken to be in different bodies of one another. They must come together to impersonate their siblings or parents to accomplish getting a promotion, a college interview, a record deal, and a soccer tryout. The rest of the cast has not been announced.
