The Fallingstar Beast is a bull-like scorpion creature inĀ Elden RingĀ that Tarnished can encounter multiple times during their playthrough. The first one can be found within the Sellia Crystal Tunnel of Caelid, and the second resides in a lair outside Leyndell’s outer walls. The third and toughest variant is the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast, which inhabits a giant crater atop Mt. Gelmir, near the Volcano Manor. Naturally, the Full-Grown version is the strongest, but all the Fallingstar Beasts have similar mechanics that Tarnished fighters can learn to take down these formidable creatures. Read on to learn how to beat theĀ Fallingstar Beast boss inĀ Elden Ring.
How To Defeat The Fallingstar Beast Boss In Elden Ring
The foremost advice for anyĀ Tarnished fighting the Fallingstar BeastĀ inĀ Elden RingĀ is never to use long, delayed attacks. While the creature isn’t fast or agile, it will punish players who attempt extended, drawn-out abilities without perfect timing. Adventurers need to understand they will be fighting the boss for some time, meaning they shouldn’t get greedy.

Another thing to look out for during the boss fight with the FallingstarĀ Beast inĀ Elden RingĀ is “sweet spots” where it is most vulnerable. Of course, its abilities will largely determine where players should be striking the boss, but an optimal area where it doesn’t have any counterattacks is the section between its ribs and hind legs. Here, it can’t back-kick Tarnished, nor can it crush them with its pincers. Still, players should be cautious of AoE attacks or sudden side body-slamming attacks while in this position.Ā
As for the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast, there is a way to cheese this particularĀ boss inĀ Elden Ring, as it doesn’t aggro as long as Tarnished stealthily remain outside of its sight. After reaching the summit lair, sneak around to the back of the boss and use Poison Spraymist to slowly drain away the beast’s HP. This technique will take a while, but it’s the simplest way to take down the Full-Grown variant without even entering combat.
Elden RingĀ is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
