There are plenty of things to discover in Elden Ring that help build the immersion of the world for fans. When gamers aren’t exploring legacy dungeons in Elden Ring, multiple optional bosses are prowling around the world. One of these bosses, known as Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader, is no pushover because she’s optional. Alecto has plenty of strong attacks that will punish players if they aren’t being careful. So for fans looking to beat him and collect his gear, here is how to defeat Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader.
Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader Guide
To defeat Alecto Black Knife Ringleader, players will need access to the Moonlight Altar, which will require a couple of steps into Ranni’s questline. Alecto is in the northwest direction from the Moonlight Altar site of grace called the “Ringleader’s Evergaol.”
Like other Black Knife Assassins in Elden Ring, Alecto uses a single Black Knife dagger to fight gamers with quick lunge and spinning attacks. It is best not to be too aggressive and get only a few hits in with these attacks. The most important aspect to remember about the Alecto Black Knife Ringleader Guide is always to be ready to dodge the next attack since his timing can be unpredictable. Alecto also has a ranged slash attack when she charges up his dagger that can drain players’ health. Luckily, this can be easily avoided by rolling to the side. Just be careful when he runs up to attack next.
Alecto will have a couple of different moves that make him stand out from the other assassins. First, Alecto can alternate from a standard overhead attack to one that does a small ring of AoE damage at the spot she lands. No matter what overhead attack she does, it is best always to keep a proper distance and then run in to deal a quick hit since she takes two seconds to recharge.
Another attack gamers need to watch out for is Alecto’s grab attack, which can deal a significant chunk of damage. Alecto telegraphs this by taking a second to lift his left hand and then leaping forward. Fans can dodge this by rolling away from Alecto since this doesn’t have a far reach. However, if they are caught in close combat, roll into the attack and pray that the hitboxes don’t touch. The grab attack can also be punished if players successfully roll away from it.
Once fans defeat Alecto Black Knife Ringleader, gamers will be awarded the Black Knife Tiche summon that brings a black knife assassin into battle and costs 132 FP.
