It wouldn’t be a FromSoftware game if it didn’t have a bunch of enormous near-impossible boss fights. Elden Ring, the newest and probably the best game of FromSoftware, is an open-world Soulsborne filled with many locations to be discovered and many bosses to be killed. One of the most difficult boss fights in Elden Ring is the Fire Giant, and here is the guide on how to kill it.
How to Defeat the Fire Giant in Elden Ring
Fire Giant is one of the most powerful bosses in the game that each of its attacks will reduce a big chunk of your health. It is recommended level to beat this boss is 84, and defeating it will give you the Remembrance of the Fire Giant and 180,000 Runes, which makes it worth the effort.
Fire Giant is located at the top of Mountaintops of the Giants. This giant firey boss has a shield that he uses to hit you with it or throw snow at you, which either will deal a significant amount of damage. He can also throw fireballs and make flames come out of the ground.
At the start of the fight, ride towards the boss but be aware of his attacks which are either throwing snow or swinging the shield. After dodging his attacks, go for the left foot, the one with the wrapping cloth. The first phase of this boss is dodging his attacks and then hitting the left foot. The right foot has a metal brace that prevents the player from dealing too much damage. Since Fire Giant has a big chunk of health, it might take some time.

After the health of the boss reaches its half, a cutscene will play and show he is immobile due to the loss of his left leg. His biggest attack in this phase is the dozens of fireballs that throw at you along with different kinds of explosive fireballs. The easier part of this phase is that players can hit the giant at any place and deal damage.
The biggest tip on defeating this boss is to learn how to dodge his attacks first. Also, Fire Giant has a weakness to Bleed damage, so if you have an upgraded weapon with Bleed damage, make sure to equip it.
