One of the best weapons you can get your hands on in Elden Ring is the Blasphemous Blade. This greatsword is lined with the remnants of past heroes and has one of the hardest-hitting Weapon Skills in the game, Taker’s Flame. For those who have the stats to wield it, that being level 22 Strength, level 15 Dexterity, and level 21 Faith, it is a must-have, and while the process of getting the weapon can be difficult, the process is very straightforward. This guide will explain to players how to get the Blasphemous Blade in Elden Ring.
How To Get The Blasphemous Blade In Elden Ring
The Blasphemous Blade is the weapon wielded by the Shardbearer found in Mt. Gelmir, Rykard, the Blasphemous. This means that players will be able to get the greatsword after defeating the demi-god turned great serpent. There are a few ways to get to Rykard, all of which require you to get to the Volcano Manor. You can either reach the Manor by traveling through Mt. Gelmir or having the NPC Rya take you there from the Altus Plateau if you returned her Pendant to her in Liurnia of the Lakes. However you get there, you will need to join the Volcano Manor in order to face Rykard, but this does not mean you will need to complete the Manor’s questline. You can find an illusionary wall in the first room on the right down the right hallway to enter the zone’s Legacy Dungeon. Go through the entire zone, including past the Godskin Noble boss fight, and you will find Rykard at the end. You can skip the Dungeon by completing the questline for the Volcano Manor, which will reward you with teleporting you right outside Rykard’s boss room and the last step to getting the Blasphemous Blade. The Nerd Stash has a complete guide on the Volcano Manor Questline linked here.

Upon defeating Rykard, players will be given his Great Rune as well as his Remembrance, which is called Remembrance of the Blasphemous. Major bosses in Elden Ring provide you with a Remembrance that can be traded at the Roundtable Hold for a unique spell or weapon that relates to the given boss. One of Rykard’s options is the Blasphemous Blade. Return to the Hold and talk to Finger Reader Enia, who sits next to the Two Fingers. You can then trade your Remembrance of the Blasphemous for the Blasphemous Blade.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
