If you have played any RPG, you know how important it is to have a good set of armor and the best weapons. In the case of a challenging game like Elden Ring, not having the best weapons means you will die even more. One of the best weapons in Elden Ring is the Mantis Blade, and here is how to get it in Elden Ring.
How to Get the Mantis Blade in Elden Ring
The Mantis Blade is a Curved Sword that doesn’t have any unique weapon art but can extend its reach twofold when executing a strong attack. The basic attack has the range of a dagger’s slash, but its heavy attack will unfold the Blade of the Mantis, which unleashes a sweeping frontal slice. The Mantis Blade requires a Strength of 10 and a Dexterity of 12.
The Mantis Blade is a guaranteed drop from a hidden Cemetery Shade in Gelmir Hero’s Grave. Cemetery Shades usually serve as the main or side bosses of a Dungeon. In the case of Gelmir Hero’s Grave, this Shade hides within a small alcove.
To get to the Gelmir Hero’s Grave, you must make your way up Mt. Gelmir in Altus Plateau. After you go through the Seethewater and Hermit Village, you will encounter the lair of Demi-Human Queen Maggie near Primeval Sorcerer Azur.
From there, you can see an extending rock from the cliffs. Leap across the gap, and you will arrive on the grounds in front of the Gelmir Hero’s Grave. Once you get inside, you must make your way through the first lava-flowing corridor, which is patrolled by a death Chariot.

At the end of the footpath, turn left and head up the stairs. Then carefully get past the Imp Fire Pillar and enter the next hall. At the bottom of the slope on the right, the Cemetery Shade you are looking for is lurking in the alcove. After you slay the Cemetery Shade, it will drop the Mantis Blade.
Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
