Elden Ring is an incredibly expansive game, featuring an absolutely colossal map to explore, tons of side objectives to do, and a minimum of 30 hours of mandatory content that you absolutely will not do as fast unless you want Elden Ring done as soon as possible. With such a massive adventure to undertake though, you may want a few helping hands to tag along for the ride. But given the nature of most co-op experiences, you may find the method to do this a bit confusing. If this is the case for you, no need to worry. In this guide, we’ll explain how to summon co-op partners in Elden Ring!
How to Summon Co-Op Partners in Elden Ring
To summon other random players to help you, you’ll need to get a consumable item known as a Furlcalling Finger Remedy. This consumable can be obtained either through the game’s various NPC vendors, or by crafting it using Erdleaf Flowers. Once you have one, use it, and it’ll unveil nearby summoning signs which can be activated using the interact button while over it. Once done, it’ll summon whoever placed the summoning sign to work alongside you in whatever it is you’re doing. It’s worth noting that, while the player is in your session, you won’t be able to do any dungeons or use your mount, so that may off-put some of you.
Now, should you want to join other random players, you can place down a summoning sign by getting the Tarnished’s Furled Finger from the Stranded Graveyard of Grace. Then, simply use it wherever you want (excluding a few select areas) to place down the summoning sign! You can also do this at summoning pools, which are placed at select places throughout the game and are marked by crescent-shaped crucifixes. These are usually before bosses, so if you want to help others clear these difficult encounters, then there you go.
Now before we go, you may notice this hasn’t covered the idea of how to summon co-op partners such as close friends in Elden Ring. And thankfully, there’s an option for that too! To do this, head over to the Multiplayer tab of the menus and set a password for yourself while having your friends set the same password. Once you all have that same password, only summoning signs from players with that password will show in your world. Naturally, that means only your friends will be able to join you. Just make sure it isn’t something simple like password, or you may attract unwanted guests. Either way, best of luck summoning your friends in Elden Ring!
