During the dual questline with Brother Corhyn and Goldmask in Elden Ring, Tarnished are tasked with finding a rare Incantation known as the Law of Regression. The Spell cures all ailments, removes special effects, and dispels any Illusory or Mimicry magic within the nearby vicinity. Unlike typical Incantation Spells, the Law of Regression does not scale off of Faith but instead has an Intelligence stat requirement of 37. Tarnished spellcasters must memorize this Incantation and use it to help Goldmask solve a riddle regarding Radagon’s true identity. However, the Spell must first be learned through the Golden Order Principia, a hidden spellbook in Elden Ring.
How To Get The Law of Regression In Elden Ring
Golden Order Principia, the tome which unlocks the Law of Regression in Elden Ring, is located atop a small throne hanging from the ceiling in the Erdtree Sanctuary of Leyndell, Royal Capital. While the glowing item is moderately in plain sight, the path to reach it is hidden, accessible from the Erdtree Sanctuary’s rooftop.

To get the Golden Order Principia in Elden Ring, Tarnished adventurers must first make their way to the second floor of the Erdtree Sanctuary. Starting from the Site of Grace, ascend the branch outside on the right balcony to reach the terrace above leading to the Queen’s Bedchamber. Exit the doorway and immediately turn left, jumping onto the golden tile rooftop.
Directly ahead, players will notice an enterable window on the hidden second floor of the Erdtree Sanctuary. Here, Tarnished will find a secret chest with the Erdtree Bow. A Celestial Dew can also be picked up near a shortcut ladder in a small room on the right. Continue down the pathway and leap onto the extending branch at the end to acquire the Golden Order Principia in Elden Ring.
