It’s Halloween season when everyone is turning towards everything spooky and funky. While the gaming industry is following suit, Epic Games Store has released its weekly free games. This time around, they are not playing; their free games are spooky and funky.
As is the tradition, Epic Games Store usually releases weekly gaming events for the upcoming week every Thursday. And today is that day! The gaming publisher has decided to line up some fantastic titles that are fun and pretty scary ahead of Halloween. This week’s free games will be available until October 20th, 2022.

Among the free titles include the teeth-shuttering horror game Darkwood. And if you don’t want to get spooked, you can choose its alternative; ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove. The two games make up this week’s free games you can own after claiming by the 20th of this month.

Darkwood is an Indie horror game developed by Acid Wizard Studio, which sells at $13.99. The game measures your survival level in a vast terrain that does not offer you any quest markers and certainly no hand-holding. Imagine being trapped in a land full of risky things you must escape. You don’t know where the next nightmare will come from or where to go next. Darkwood allows you to enjoy the very spooky while you try to figure out your way.
On the other hand, the second free choice, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove, is a relatively easy-going game full of funky activities. The game typically costs $14.99, but you can have it in your permanent library this week. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove follows ToeJam & Earl through their comical adventure that blends the old and modern play mode.
Epic Games Store has released this week’s free games. Claim them from the official website by October 20th, 2022, and enjoy owning them until you choose otherwise. Finally, Epic Games Stores has also shared next week’s releases, including Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition and Evoland Legendary Edition.
