Jeff Beck’s tribute concert will be held at the Royal Albert Hall, staged by Eric Clapton to honor the skilled guitarist who passed away earlier this year at age 78.
Beck was considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone. Though he was not very popular, his contributions to blues music was incredible.
The former Yardbirds band member was a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and throughout his career, he won eight Grammy awards.
The England native became acquainted with guitar at a young age and soon began playing in different groups. Along the line, he formed friendships that lasted a lifetime.
He teamed up with Eric Clapton and other singers in the 1980s, and they performed on British Amnesty International’s live shows.
Beck also worked with Rod Stewart on a cover of Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready.” In 2020, Johnny Depp collaborated with the guitarist for a single.
Sadly, on January 7, 2023, Beck kicked the bucket, his family revealed he had contracted bacterial meningitis while asking for privacy to mourn their loss.
Months after the tragedy, Jeff Beck’s tribute concert is set to hold, with Clapton, Depp, and Stewart getting ready to perform.
