The recently released Evil Dead: The Game is an all-new asymmetrical multiplayer title available on consoles and PC. For console players, getting their hands on the game won’t be that difficult, with even a Switch port planned for the future, meaning that no matter what console you own, you will be able to get the game. On PC, however, it gets a bit messy since the game is currently an Epic Games Store exclusive, meaning that fans that primarily use Steam won’t be able to get the game on their storefront of choice. This raises the question of whether or not the game will ever come to Steam. This guide will let players know if Evil Dead: The Game will be coming to Steam in the future.
Is Evil Dead: The Game Coming To Steam?
For players who like to have all their games on Steam or simply don’t want to use the Epic Games Store, it doesn’t look like you will get the chance to play the game if you just stick to Valve’s marketplace. There is currently no word on if the new game based on the beloved film franchise will be coming to Steam. Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games, the developers and publisher of the title, respectively, agreed to an exclusivity deal with Epic Games back in February, not unlike other games like the critically acclaimed Hades back in 2020. This situation is unique because, while other games that are Epic Games Store exclusive, there would be an announced time for when the game could also be heading to Steam, usually around a year after its original release. Visiting the official website for the game reveals that there is no mention of the game heading to Steam, with the game currently having no Steam page as well.
