An ex-employee of Bloober Team, the Polish studio that has made multiple successful indie horror games like Layers of Fear and, more recently, The Medium, has just released a teaser for a new game that is built upon Unreal Engine 5 and is heavily inspired by Hideo Kojima’s PT. Bloober Team is currently working on the Silent Hill 2 remake, and all the Silent Hill fans can not wait to see if it will reach the heights of the Resident Evil 2 Remake from Capcom.
Artur Łączkowski used to be a designer at Bloober Team but then decided to leave the company in March of this year. Back in 2020, Łączkowski confirmed that he was working on an original indie game inspired by Silent Hill, but that project was soon canceled. But this setback has not put the brakes on the young team. They have bounced back and are working on the aforementioned horror game inspired by PT.
Ex Bloober Team Dev’s New PT-Inspired Horror Title
Initially spotted by DSO Gaming, Łączkowski announced the new horror game on Twitter. The game’s YouTube trailer reiterates that it is being made using Unreal Engine 5 and is heavily inspired by the canceled PT project. The teaser shows a bloodstained hallway similar to the one from PT. The camera then pans to a side room where a little boy is casually eating a dead body, which is very normal.
In the Twitter post, the designer said that it took them a long time to get back to game development, and even though the title has no name yet, it seems it will have some big names attached to the game.
