Expert Asks Harry & Meghan To Respect CoronationÂ
A royal expert thinks if Harry & Meghan respect the king’s coronation, it will go a long way. Robert Hardman suggests that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle employ some palace diplomacy. Robert is the author of “Queen of Our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II.”
The expert suggests that the couple respect the monarchy by attending Charles’ coronation on May 6. It would be nice of them to think, “This is not our show. It’s his show, we are here because that’s the sort of respect for a beautiful thing to do,” He told Page Six.Â
“Private family issues aside … that’s for another day.”
Prince Harry confirmed last week that he was invited to attend his father’s coronation. However, he and Meghan have not confirmed if they will attend.
Harry Didn’t Get Along With His Family
The invitation comes on the heels of Prince Harry’s explosive memoir, “Spare.” Per Page Six, Harry accused his father of branding him a “spare” when he was born. He also claimed that Charles didn’t hug him after delivering the news that Princess Diana had died. The Invictus Games founder also said his father constantly joked that he wasn’t his biological son.
Prince Harry also spelled out his grievances against his brother, Prince William. He claimed that his older brother once pushed him down during a physical altercation and wasn’t welcoming to his wife. Harry also accused William of encouraging him to wear an infamous Nazi costume for a fancy dress party.
The father of two has also been vocal about wanting an apology but not expecting one. However, Robert Hardman expressed pessimism about the prospect of Harry receiving an apology.Â
In any case, the royal expert believes that Harry & Meghan should respect the coronation as it is “a family event as well as a state event.” He added that everyone would expect all family members to be present.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might do well to follow the expert’s suggestion and attend Charles’ coronation. Hopefully, it might even spark some discussions and lead to reconciliation sometime soon.
