The Australian studio of Alta has assembled a special treat for Oculus Quest players. A Township Tale has officially launched today, with a few special perks in celebration of the fantasy VR RPG title’s release.
VR’s Acclaimed Fantasy RPG Joins the Oculus Ranks
In the world of A Township Tale, the land has been deserted. Wild foes roam across the untamed land, and great treasures lie behind dark corners and mysteries. To survive, you must build your town from the ground up. But you’re not alone. Up to eight players can tag along to fight off the dangers together while building a promising home as one.
In the strange fantasy world of A Township Tale, the player choice becomes a vital aspect. By taking the VR RPG elements to heart, players will have options on what role they’ll like to assume within their town. To upkeep a thriving community, one must be a craftsman in tools and woodwork, another in weapon assembly, some to practice combat, and so on. Each role will have its own system of leveling up, allowing more paths to explore the more they progress.
When everyone works together, great results will come about, and the better of a chance you’ll have with surviving the dangers beyond the walls. Venture into the unknown together to bring back essential resources to improve gear for everyone; spar with one another to bring out the best warrior within; help each other construct spectacular weapons that’ll be no match for any adversary coming your way. In the end, the choice is really up to you on what you put into the gameplay. Game Director at Alta, Boramy Unn, described the experience in his own words, saying:
Whether it’s crafting items or just enjoying our magical fantasy world, players can now play together on Quest and escape into the magical world of A Township Tale, a place that feels immersive and alive in a way that’s only possible on VR.”
