Far Cry 5, the hit first-person shooter from Ubisoft, is having a free weekend next weekend. It will be available through UPlay PC from May 29t at 6 AM PDT to May 31 at 1 PM PDT. If your internet isn’t the greatest, you can begin pre-loading the game right now so it’ll be ready at 6 AM on Friday. Anyone who decides to start playing will have full access to all of the base game’s content. To celebrate the news, Ubisoft took to their social media to announce the free weekend.
Far Cry 5 takes players to the fictional Hope County, Montana on a quest to stop the elusive Joseph Seed. He’s turned the entire county into a cult-like home, and it’s up to you to take out his family. You’ll explore the open-world of Hope County, venturing across many landscapes and dealing with several outposts. Will you and the resistance be able to take on the Project at Eden’s Gate? That’s up to you to find out, and you can even bring along a friend if you want. Far Cry 5 represents some of the best Far Cry has to offer, and you can enjoy it all this weekend.
And the mayhem doesn’t have to stop on the 31st. If you’re a fan of the game, there’s a massive sale happening throughout the free weekend. You can get the Standard and Gold editions of the game at large discounts, letting you jump in relatively cheap. All progress you make over the free weekend will carry over to your purchase. If you want more information or want to start your pre-load, you can find that on the free weekend’s official blog post. Are you going to try Far Cry 5’s free weekend?
