Insight Into the New Characters of FFXVI
As we await the release of Square Enix’s new Final Fantasy sequel, the company has been slipping unknown information about the game to the public. And now, Dion and Barnabas are among the latest insights in Final Fantasy 16. For now, let’s learn more about the two characters.
Dion
Well, Dion features as the prince of Sanbreque. As revealed in previous publications, Final Fantasy 16 will have six realms, and Sanbreque is one of the holy empires from the realms.
In addition to Dion’s prince status, he is also the leader of Dragoons, best known for hosting the most noble Knights. At the same time, we see that he is Bahamut’s dominant, which gives him incredible powers. Adding these powers to his unique abilities, Dion will be a deadly ally to own.
However, Square Enix warns us that Dion’s strength can weaken in some points and environments in the game. In the game, an evil force has been paving its way through the kingdom. According to Square Enix, the dark shadows may grow enough to deem Bahamut’s light. Ultimately, these events will reduce Dion’s abilities by taking away his energy boosts that come from the empire.
Barnabas
Barnabas is the controller of the Kingdom of Waloed. He is a ruler who’s earned his title through battling skills using a blade. His history to his victory starts after arriving on the shores of Ash as a traveler. At the time, he was a mere beggar without land of his own.
Eventually, using Odin’s powers, he won the leadership ranks of Waloed. During the battle, he also won the whole Eastern continent in FFXVI. However, even with his massive kingdom, Barnabus continues to attend battle arenas as a fighter.
Currently, Dion Lesage and Barnabas Thatmr are the newest character revealed in Final Fantasy 16. And looking at their attributes, they both will be killer machines in our conquest journey. In the meantime, we await the launch of FFXVI in the summer of 2023.
