There are many big games coming up this year, and with that in mind, players are trying to decide which ones to buy. One of the factors that make people choose to buy the game as soon as it gets here is how long it’ll take them to beat it. Cereza and the Lost Demon, for example, while fantastic, lasts only 10 hours or so, which might make players wait for it to be on sale. Resident Evil 4 will last from 18 to 30 hours depending on how to play which sounds good. Now, Final Fantasy 16, another big release of the year, has revealed its story length.
Final Fantasy 16 will have a story length of 35 hours
Just like God of War: Ragnarok, Final Fantasy 16 will have the same story length for the main story only. During a recent interview, the people behind the game announced how long it’ll players to beat the main story. However, if you want to experience everything the game offers, you’ll be looking at 70 hours at least. This is fantastic as both timeframes are perfect for all players. 35 hours is great for main quests while the optional stuff is double of that. This offers players different options and the chance to choose how long they want to play the game.
The newest Famitsu magazine has new(?) bits of game info for FF16 from the previously released interview with the devs.
Takai says there will be a leader board that you can compete with players around the world, allowing for endless gameplay. Here's my translation:

We are happy to see that developers are choosing these timeframes instead of bloated games like the ones Ubisoft has launched. Even Ubisoft has realized that it is a bad idea and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed games will be shorter which is perfectly fine. So, now that we know how long the story length of Final Fantasy 16 will be, we’re more than convinced of getting it as soon as it gets here. If you haven’t, you can pre-order the game right now and wait for its official launch in June. While you wait, the 6.4 live letter for Final Fantasy 14 is coming soon so keep an eye out for it.
