The Spider-Man spin-off just released the final Morbius movie trailer after the motion picture had been delayed six times. The movie planned to drop in July 2020, but Sony Pictures moved Morbius to March 19, 2021. In January 2021, the studio pushed the film back again to October 8, 2021. Then soon moved it to January 21, 2022. The last time Morbius was pushed back was to April 1. The Sony Marvel production will go against The Contractor, which releases the same day.
We haven’t seen many signs of life from our soon-to-be Living Vampire, Morbius. But with the movie’s delay, there’s time for one last trailer. This trailer doesn’t contain much new footage. This isn’t too shocking, considering we’ve been getting trailers for this movie for over two years now. Like the previous trailers, this latest one has tons of footage of Jared Leto being a vampire, but not much of anything else.
However, the trailer gives us our first look at Matt Smith, who plays Loxias Crown, the movie’s villain. But, the movie doesn’t explain which Spider-Man universe the movie takes place in.

Morbius Cast and More Movie Info
Morbius is the latest entry in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, where we meet Dr. Michael Morbius. Micheal is an almost ordinary doctor who accidentally turns himself into a vampire. Micheal turns himself into a living vampire, trying to find the cure for his lifelong blood disease with experimental vampire bat science. Now tortured by his life-sustaining thirst, Michael finds himself torn between his human and monstrous natures.
Along with Jared Leto and Michael Keaton, Morbius will also star Jared Harris from The Terror as Emil Nikols and Tyrese Gibson from Fast and Furious as Simon Stroud. Daniel Espinosa, who directed Life that, was released in 2017, and Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the movie, both of whom also wrote the 2017 Power Rangers movie together.
As mentioned above, Morbius’ place in the Multiverse is still unknown, leading fans to speculate if they set the film in the MCU or the universe where Tom Hardy’s Venom lives. Maybe we’ll discover more as the movie release date gets closer. Until then, we will enjoy the final Morbius movie trailer.
