Operation: Sky Fire and How Season 8 Could Look
Operation: Sky Fire wrapped up earlier today following the live event. Players were tasked with sneaking aboard the alien mothership and fending off the threat of the invaders. The event concluded with the ship crashing down to the map along with a rain of Cubes. This signaled both the end of the campaign and the shutdown of the server. For the time being, things are expected to be down until season 8 begins early tomorrow morning.
There have yet to be any specific details on what Fortnite Season 8 itself could actually look like. The official Fortnite Twitter page has not released any detailed updates. However, a video on the official Fortnite YouTube channel is set to premiere soon. It will most likely contain new information regarding Season 8, such as skins and weapons. There is also evidence that the fallen ‘Cubes’ may play a role as well, but nothing is confirmed as of yet.
As stated previously, the designated time for the launch of the new season comes early morning tomorrow. As a result, we suggest keeping up with the official Fortnite Twitter page and checking the servers around the start time. Be sure to set a reminder for the video as well to be notified when it premieres. You can also expect coverage from The Nerd Stash at end of Season 8 speculation.
Fortnite is currently available to play on most platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android. For more information regarding the game itself, check out the official site.
