Just envision: tensions are high and you don’t think you can survive this encounter. Well, rather than build something and hide or jump in bushes, you can actually duck out of sight using certain things. However, it’s now a quest challenge to destroy hiding places in Fortnite, so some players may want to reconsider those tactics.
How to Destroy Hiding Places in Fortnite
Hiding in Fortnite isn’t something new, but Chapter 3 certainly keeps things interesting. There’s the stealth grass you can dip into, but it doesn’t completely cover you. Certain hiding places are more ideal, but if you want to master a challenge, then you have to destroy them in Fortnite rather than hide in them.
What can you hide inside in Chapter 3? Well, you should look out for dumpsters and porta-potties. However, only look for dumpsters with an open lid as these are the ones you can hide inside.
So, how do you destroy a hiding place? It’s as simple as beating it until it’s gone. So, whip out your pickaxe and get to work. You can also go for something louder and flashier by using other weapons. It all gets the job done in the end.
Remember: destroy five of these hiding places if you want to get 25,000 XP and complete the quest.
Where to Find Hiding Places in Fortnite Chapter 3
Hiding places are all over the map in Fortnite, and you can find one to destroy in little time. The map above should highlight some of those areas you’ll want to explore.
With that said, you can always head to some hot areas at the beginning like Sleepy Sound and Coney Crossroads. Those locations should have more than enough hiding places for you to blow up or otherwise destroy.
Also, consider looking around gas stations too. Titled Towers has plenty of dumpsters, but it’s a go-to area for a lot of players. Just keep that in mind if you want to head there.
