The NPC Raven has made his way to the Fortnite Island and he brings several challenges for you to work through. These tasks will be taking you to the otherworldly dimension known as the Sideways, with the very first challenges asking you to head into the alien world and destroy Sideways Rocks. This challenge is pretty straightforward, but allow me to make the experience as smooth as possible. This guide will show you how to destroy Sideways Rocks in Fortnite.
How to Destroy Sideways Rocks in Fortnite
The first thing you need to do to start the Punchcard Quest for Raven is talk to him. He can be found at the facility to the east of Sludgy Swamp. His location will be signified by a white Speech Bubble when you get close to him. Once you talk to him, you will be able to start looking for the Sideways Rocks as this is his first challenge in his quest. Just as you would enter the Sideways for any quest that involves it, you are gonna want to enter a Sideways Anomaly which is depicted on your map by a circle that is glowing purple. Once in the alien world, all you have to destroy anyone of the dark rocks that can be found. They are pretty common so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. Either shoot or melee two of these rocks until they break to complete the challenge.

Once you find and destroy a pair of these Sideways Rocks, the challenge will be completed and you will be rewarded 30,000 XP for leveling up your Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass. Destroying these rocks means you can move on to Raven’s next challenge: Launch from a Corruption Vent.
