Items from weapons to vehicles come and go in Fortnite, a feature that does not surprise players. However, the one thing that sends players into a buzz besides vaulting is unvaulting. The unvaulted weapon in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 is the Combat AR, a weapon many are eager to get.
How to Get the Unvaulted Combat AR in Fortnite
In Chapter 3: Season 1, the Combat AR found itself vaulted in Update v19.00. However, the newest season gives players a chance to breathe life back into the weapon.
Included in Content Update v20.00 is a feature labeled B.A.R.S., which stands for Bars for Assault Rifles. It’s explained that The Resistance needs help choosing to assemble either the MK-Seven Assault Rifle or the Combat Rifle.
Only one will be unvaulted, so you have to put in some work if you want the Combat AR in Fortnite.
First things first, though: how do you get the Combat AR now?
As of now, you can’t. However, starting Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 4 AM ET, you can find it scattered around the island. Both the Combat AR and its competition will be available for a trial period for players to enjoy. This does end on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 11:59 PM ET.
So, players get one solid weekend to look throughout the island to loot the Combat AR.
Once the trial period ends, you must vote for the Combat AR if you want it truly unvaulted and get as Fortnite loot. Much like before with the Combat AR vs. the Combat SMG, contribute your bars to Donation Boards to vote.
There’s no time limit on this part. Even so, players ought to work fast if they want their favorite chosen. Because whichever weapon reaches 100% funded first will return to the game.
Changes to the Combat AR
It’s uncertain just how much the stats will change once you get the Combat AR in Fortnite. All that’s known is that the recoil will ramp up to its strength rather than staying at one strength like it previously did.
Just how much the stats will differ will be known once the trial period starts.
Fortnite is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo, PC, and mobile devices.
