With each new day, Fortnite is introducing brand new challenges that will be unlocked for players to complete as a part of their Winterfest 2021 event along with several new cosmetics right alongside them. The fourth challenge in the growing list is to travel 200 meters while having Icy Feet. Many players might not know what this “Icy Feet” thing even is, but it is one of the easier challenges to complete in the event once you know the where and how involved with it. This guide will explain how to travel while having icy feet in Fortnite.
How to Travel While Having Icy Feet in Fortnite
Icy Feet is an effect that can occur in Fortnite that will encase the player’s feet in ice, allowing them to slide around for a few seconds. There are two ways to get Icy Feet in Fortnite. One is to find the brand new weapon called Chiller Grenades or to find one of the many snowmen dotted around the map. This new grenade can be found as ground loot, from chests, and even supply drops, though you will need to get a little lucky to find one of them or to get hit by an enemy. When hit by this grenade, you will receive the Icy Feet effect, thus allowing you to slide around and work your way to completing the challenge.
As for the snowmen, attacking one of these decorations found around the Island will also encase your feet in ice, providing the same effect as the grenade without the hassle of trying to find one. There are several different snowmen around the Battle Royale Island, though I suggest heading to Greasy Grove as there are several snowmen dotted around the area for players to attack. Once you get the ice on your feet, simply move around until the challenge pops up. The challenge doesn’t require you to cover the full distance in a single go, so you can just start icing up. Eventually, the distance will accumulate to the 200 needed to complete the challenge.

Once you’ve traveled 200 meters with ice on your feet, the challenge will be completed. Every day for the Winterfest event, there will be a new challenge unlocked starting at 12 PM ET. The challenges that have been unlocked so far are to warm yourself at the Yule Log in the Cozy Lodge, deal 50 damage to opponents with the Snowball Launcher, collect three Toy Biplanes at Condo Canyon, Greasy Grove, or Sleepy Sound, and fly 200 meters with a chicken. You will need to complete seven of these challenges to unlock the Snowmando Board Glider and ten of the challenges to unlock the Frosty Back Bling.
