The FX crime drama series Snowfall starring Damson Idris will return for a sixth and final season. Snowfall premiered in 2017 and centers around the 1980s crack epidemic in Los Angeles. Damson Idris plays Franklin Saint in the series. Its most recent season has been its most-watched season to date. Dave Andron, Eric Amadio, and John Singleton created the FX crime drama series together. The famed director John Singleton sadly passed away in 2019 from a stroke at age 51. Andron commented on the sixth and final season of Snowfall, saying:
“I am so grateful to everyone at FX from John Landgraf on down and to the entire Snowfall family for helping us get there. If only John Singleton could be with us for the end.”
The series has had a good run and will end with critical acclaim.
Damson Idris Will End His Reign as Drug Kingpin Franklin Saint
“I’m incredibly proud of the history we have all made. Especially the impact’ Snowfall’ has had on the culture. Very rarely does a TV show get to the sixth season mark, and saying goodbye to ‘Franklin Saint’ will be heartbreaking,” Idris said in a statement regarding the end of the FX crime drama series. Damson Idris produces the series as well as stars in it. The story follows Franklin Saint through the success of his illegal activities and how it can all come crashing down due to the crack-related death of the basketball star Len Bias. The basketball star’s death gets the attention of lawmakers and the police department. The sixth and final season of Snowfall will show how Saint’s story concludes. Damson Idris will be concluding his role with a heavy heart. The sixth season of Snowfall will also conclude another successful work of John Singleton.
Snowfall comes on Wednesdays at 10 pm on FX and can be streamed on Hulu.
