Whether you’re on the Nintendo Wii or the Nintendo Wii U, most fans of the Smash Bros games would say they need a GameCube controller. Well, now they can also say that for the Nintendo Switch! Nintendo is releasing three new GameCube style controllers for the Nintendo Switch.
The timing couldn’t be any better because of the upcoming release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The game will release on December 7 of this year! If you want to beat your friends you can now do it in style. Nintendo is also selling an original Smash themed wired GameCube controller as well.
PDP or Performance Designed Products, is working on the trio of new controllers. The themes for the new controllers are Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon. They will be released the same day as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, you can preorder them now for $25 each.
All three of the controllers are your typical wired controller. Each of them will have a 10 foot USB cable and they will also have the option to the smaller C-Stick for the more traditional full sized one. If all goes as planned and customers are satisfied, these controllers can possibly be more comfortable than Nintendo’s first-party controller.
Smash Bros. Ultimate can’t get here soon enough for me. It’s set to be one of the biggest game releases for the Nintendo Switch and very well may be the reason people buy one. The game will have every character in Smash Bros history, plus some newcomers.
Nintendo announced that the new Smash Bros. will see a series of debut characters like Metroid’s Ridley, Castlevania’s Simon and Ritcher Belmont and, Donkey Kong Country’s King K. Rool! There are also 103 stages to Up B and Down Smash your opponents!
