Microsoft promised that Quantum Break would show up at GamesCom and the game was delivered. Remedy Entertainment’s Sam Lake was brought onstage and revealed a new cast and release date for the time-bending shooter. We also got to see the new cast in action in a demo and in a trailer for the TV show to go alongside Quantum Break.
Surprising a lot of people was the news that the cast that had been seen in previous reveals wasn’t the final cast. Quantum Break will feature some well known actors with Shawn Ashmore, of X-Men and Animorphs fame, lending his voice and likeness to the hero Jake Joyce. Aiden Gillen, best known as Littlefinger in Game of Thrones, will be the villain. Rounding out the currently known cast are Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and Lance Reddick (Fringe, The Wire).
Last, but certainly not least, Remedy has finally revealed a release date for the long awaited title. Quantum Break will be out in 2016 exclusively on the Xbox One.
