Gemma Arterton and Kirby Howell-Baptiste have joined the Disney+ UK original series Culprits cast. The series has been described as a “dark and funny heist series.” It takes place after a heist, with the crew killed off one by one by an unknown killer. Nathan Stewart-Jarrett from Candyman and Soulmates will be the lead in the series Culprits. Gemma Arterton will play Dianne, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste will play Officer. Niamh Algar, Kamel El Basha, Tara Abboud, Kevin Vidal, and more will star alongside Arterton and Howell-Baptiste. The Disney+ original series is a Character 7 production. Stephen Garrett and J. Blakeson are executive producers for the series. Johanna Devereaux from Disney+ will also be an executive producer. Morenike Williams, who has worked on the award-winning series Killing Eve has signed on as a producer. Blakeson will direct the first five episodes; Claire Oakley will direct the last three.

Howell-Baptiste has been making a name for herself with American audiences with her numerous roles in shows and movies. Arterton and Howell-Baptiste are sure to entertain in the roles for the upcoming Disney+ UK original series Culprits. This series will have a different take on the heist movies. Instead of coming up with a plan and getting the team together, it goes right to the result.
