If you hadn’t heard by now, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is great. Earlier this month, it was reported that the newest game in the series had sold over 11 million copies within the first ten days, which is a pretty good achievement considering some of the other games that were releasing around the same time.
Personally, I love Animal Crossing and have done since I played the GameCube version, it’s also a sentiment that’s shared by many of our staff as I’ll see our writers putting countless hours into it whenever I log on to my Switch. In our review, which you can check out here, we said it was a truly joyful experience and ranked it as the best Animal Crossing game to date.
High praise indeed.
One of the best things about New Horizons is the staggering level of available customization options. Sure, you have to work for them sometimes, but the results speak for themselves.
There’s only one thing that can ever possibly dream of making Animal Crossing better; in fact, adding this to anything will instantly make it better. That thing is not a thing but rather a person. Danny DeVito, and without further ado, behold the genius of the internet:
That is a work of art that Ongo Gablogian would absolutely adore.
This masterpiece came courtesy of the Animal Crossing subreddit and was created by the absolute hero that is B4SSOON, who states that this is still a work in progress, but it has taken countless hours to flatten and reshape the land to what you see before you.
There is even a screenshot of an earlier work in progress if you fancy heading on to Reddit and taking a look.
When I sat down at my computer to bring you some news, I had high hopes of delivering something exciting and new. I then saw this and knew that I could bring you nothing else as any news could not dream of coming close to this. Let’s hope that the man himself gets to see it somehow as his reaction would be priceless.
If you have created anything fun and interesting in Animal Crossing, be sure to let us know. It won’t beat this, but we would love to see anyway.
