Patch 1.2 introduced World Quests in Genshin Impact, which further expands the world of Teyvat and allows players to earn lucrative rewards. One of the World Quests, “A Land Entombed” is quite tricky and can confuse a lot of players. There are several parts to it, and players that are unaware of the right strategy might find it hard to complete.
Unlocking The Quest
In order to kickstart the quest, you need to find one of three Ancient Investigating Journals. Acquiring even one of the three Journals will automatically trigger the mission, and to finish, acquire all three.

After finding one of the Journals, meetup with Stevens near the entrance of Dragonspine. Once done, he will give you the location of the remaining two Journals.
All Three Journal Locations
Journal 1: Go near the Southwestern entrance to Starglow Cavern. You’ll find a Waypoint from where you need to head east towards a giant hole. Dive inside the hole, then move towards the right side where you’ll find an ice barrier. Destroy the ice barrier using Scarlet Quartz, which spawns right next to it, and enter the secret cave. You’ll find a bookshelf on the right side of the cave, and examining it will give you the Journal.
Journal 2:Â Head south of the Waypoint, and you’ll come across a frozen layer on the ground with 4 Heaters and 4 Seelies. Touch the Seelie, and it will revolve around the Heater, lighting it up in the process. Similarly, touch all Seelies to light every Heater. Once done, the frozen layer will break, and you’ll fall below the surface into a new location with 5 Heaters and 3 Seelies.
Repeat the process and touch all Seelies in a clockwise direction to light up the Heaters. Keep in mind, Heaters turn off quickly here, so don’t lag behind. Once done, the Ruin Grader will awaken. Defeating the Ruin Grader will reveal three chests, one of which contains the Journal.
Journal 3: Head towards the Statue of Seven and drop down in the big hole near it. Follow the path, and you’ll find the chest in the left corner of the chamber. Open the chest to get your hands on the Journal.
You can start with any Journal, and the order doesn’t matter. Remember to bring Pyro characters in your team to counter the chilly weather of Dragonspine. After collecting the Journals, head back to base and talk to Stevens. He will chat with you for a moment before handing you all the rewards. The rewards for completing the mission are 3 Hero Wits, 50 Primogems, 40,000 Mora, and 6 Mystic Enhancements Ore.
