Also part of an upcoming weapons banner in Genshin Impact, the Staff of Homa is a strong polearm associated with an upcoming character, Hu Tao. Unlike its partner in the upcoming banner, this polearm seems to fit a rather narrow purpose that, again, focuses on raw strength but associates how much it buffs your attack in direct relation to how much health you have left and how high your maximum health is.
About the Staff of Homa
The Staff of Homa is a five-star polearm that is earned from an upcoming banner later this month. Its secondary characteristic, much like Hu Tao, the character this weapon is associated with, is critical damage percentage. Its base stats are an attack rating of 46 and a critical damage percentage rating of 14.4% which, when brought to level 90, can be raised to 608 and 66.2%, respectively. This isn’t exactly bonkers in anyone else’s hands but it’s very clear it’s meant to be used with Hu Tao if you want to see the biggest effect of this polearm.
The Staff of Homa’s passive ability makes it so the weapon becomes stronger based on a percentage of the wielder’s maximum HP and takes on an additional buff when the wielder’s HP falls below 50%. This buff also increases the wielder’s maximum HP by a certain value, too. Provided you can ramp up a character’s health either temporarily or permanently, this weapon could get kind of crazy but you really have to build around this weapon or put it in Hu Tao’s hands to really make it effective, which makes sense, because Hu Tao is a large part of the upcoming patch that releases both this character and this weapon.
Other Genshin Impact Guides
I don’t exactly see this becoming a high tier weapon but it could definitely do some serious damage in the right hands and building around it isn’t exactly the picture of extreme difficulty or something that doesn’t directly benefit the experience, anyhow, so it should be a highly sought out weapon. Here’s to hoping the RNG is with us all when this banner drops!
