Another one of Genshin Impact’s World Quests, “Break the Sword Cemetery Seal,” serves as a good stepping stone in getting ahead on equipping yourself for the road ahead if you do it early enough. In this quest, you will earn some materials that will get you into a really nice four-star claymore, so knocking this quest off as early as you can will pay off well for you. However, this quest isn’t exactly on the beaten path, so we’ve made this guide to help you find the Sword Cemetery and complete its quest.
Where to Find the Sword Cemetery
To find the Sword Cemetery, you’re going to need to go to the Monstadt region and find a large lake in Dadaupa Gorge. Here, you’ll find the Sword Cemetery and the NPC you’ll need to talk to in order to start the quest, Dr. Livingstone. He’ll talk to you about some altars nearby that are fairly well-guarded, and he enlists your help to get those altars lit and break the seal on the chest in the Sword Cemetery. Alternatively, you can just go to one of those altars and light it to start the quest, so it’s entirely possible you could happen upon this quest entirely by accident.
Going to each camp surrounding the altar puts you up against some hilichurls and some slimes, each with a different arrangement and different rewards, but each one has a time limit and should be cleared as quickly as you can. Each altar requires a different element to be lit: south is Electro, north is Cryo, and east is Pyro. It’s suggested that you keep your team with each available element so that way you don’t need to do any switching in the middle of things. As you’ve lit up the third altar, you’ll see a cutscene showing the seal lifting on the Sword Cemetery chest, signaling you to head back and finish the quest.
Other Genshin Impact Guides
While the chests for clearing out the camp and the prizes within them aren’t set, the quest rewards are: you’ll get a Northlander Claymore Prototype, a material used in forging four-star claymores, and a Mystic Enhancement Ore, which is used to give a weapon 10,000 Weapon Experience.
