Genshin Impact fans rejoice! Developer miHoYo just announced that Genshin Impact will be coming to PlayStation 5 on April 28.
As reported by IGN, the press release gave us the following information:
…the PlayStation 5 version of free-to-play open-world RPG Genshin Impact will be made available on April 28th, alongside the game’s 1.5 update, titled “Beneath the Light of Jadite.”
It’s not like you couldn’t play Genshin Impact on PlayStation 5 before, but this, however, is one of those updates that bring the already existing games to the “PlayStation 5 level”. Meaning that, with this update, the game will be utilizing all of the juices of the packed hardware. This will allow for better visuals, improved gameplay, and all-around quality of life improvements. The game was smooth before, but expect it to be even smoother now.
But that’s not all. April 28 brings with itself the 1.5 update as well. Beneath the Light of Jadite includes “delving into the history of Liyue with Zhongli,” alongside new playable characters Eula, a five-star claymore character, and Yenfei, a four-star Pyro catalyst hero. Expect new types of enemies too, boosts to your Co-Op EXP, and an easier path to the Trounce Domain rewards.
The details surrounding the 1.5 update will premiere today and you can watch the whole thing here, even if you miss it.
