Sangonomiya Kokomi’s banner is now live and with that comes the grind for more ascension materials. Kokomi is a Hydro-type character, and the latest added in the 2.1 update. One of Kokomi’s Ascension materials is Sango Pearls, which are a Local Specialty of Inazuma. By the end of this guide, you will learn the locations of Sango Pearls and how to use them in Genshin Impact.
Sango Pearl Locations in Genshin Impact
Sango Pearls are found only on Watatsumi Island in the Inazuma region. Watatsumi Island is the westernmost island in Inazuma. They are found near water and within the reefs of the Sangonomiya Shrine. You can also find them in the underground ruins of Suigetsu Pool. Sango Pearls appear as light pink pearls in the middle of bright pink shells. The above image shows all of the current locations for Sango Pearls. They surround Sangonomiya Shrine, so you can expect to find several as you venture around the island. They also respawn every two to three days, so you can revisit the island if you need more. You can also speak to Mochizuki at Sangonomiya Shrine to get four Sango Pearls.
To access Inazuma, you need to be Adventure Rank 30 and complete the Archon Quest “Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves”. You will also unlock the next quest “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”, which will send you to Watatsumi Island. Additionally, you can also use the Sangonomiya Shrine waypoint to teleport there.
Sango Pearls are an ascension material needed to level up Kokomi. They are not currently used in any crafting recipes, and they are not sold in any shops. However, future patches may add Sango Pearls to various crafting recipes. They may also make Sango Pearl an ascension material for other characters.
