The Firmiana Leaf Falls Story Guide in Genshin Impact

There are three different quests you must complete to finish the Firmiana Leaf Falls act:

1. New Shoots from Old Branches
2. The Truth Is Also a Lie
3. The Wind Settles

New Shoots from Old Branches

The locations for each task are marked on the Interactive World Map images below. The parts you must complete throughout the quest are as follows:

1. Hit the Inazuma City Streets
2. Meet Ayaka at the Kamisato Estate
3. Report back to Ippei and Shinnojou
4. Go to the Kujou Estate and talk to Kujou Kamaji
5. Go to the Hiiragi Estate in Ritou
6. Kill some time in Ritou
7. Meet Hiiragi Chisato
8. Leave the Hiiragi Estate and go over what you know

First, follow the yellow quest marker to the southern part of Inazuma City. You will find a waypoint teleporter just south of the quest marker. After watching a brief cutscene between Ippei and Shinnojou, you will officially start the Firmiana Leaf Falls story act. Head to Kamisato Estate north of Inazuma City and Chinju Forest. You will find a new quest marker here. After another brief cutscene, head out of the building and meet with Ippei and Shinnojou for another cutscene.

After speaking to Ippei and Shinnojou, follow the quest marker south until you reach the Kujou Estate. Speak to Kujou Kamaji for another brief cutscene. After parting ways, speak with Kamisato Ayato before reading to Hiiragi Estate. A quest marker will appear in Ritou south of the Statue of Seven. From here, you’ll encounter another cutscene before finding another quest marker. Head towards the marker until you find a small market stall. Speak to the NPC to advance the quest.

After another cutscene with the market stall vendor Tomoki, go north towards the newly added quest marker to meet with Hiiragi Chisato. Kamisato Ayato will ask you to head out to discuss the situation. Follow the last quest marker to the southwestern part of Ritou to meet with Ayato and conclude the beginning quest of The Firmiana Leaf Falls. The next quest, The Truth Is Also a Lie, will begin immediately.

The Truth Is Also a Lie

The tasks you must complete throughout the quest are as follows:

1. Go and save Shinnojou
2. Investigate the situation inside the cave
3. Defeat the guards
4. Look for the key that the bake-danuki made off with
5. Use the key to free Shinnojou
6. Check the current situation using the city Bulletin Board
7. Talk to Kujou Kamaji
8. Go and observe the Kanjou Commission informant
9. Follow Hideo and do not be discovered

To begin, follow the yellow quest marker to Narukami Island. The location is south of Araumi and west of Grand Narukami Shrine. Head into the nearby cave marked by the yellow circle on your map. As you approach an imprisoned Shinnojou, a brief cutscene will appear before the guards attack you. After defeating the guards, you will discover that a tanuki stole the key needed to free Shinnojou. The tanuki will appear in four different spots:

• Directly north of Shinnojou’s cage, near a torchlight. The tanuki will be near the stone slope.
• Next to Shinnojou’s spot, you will find a small rock tower near a campfire. Break the structure to find the tanuki.
• Near the stone slope, a wooden crate will suddenly appear. Break open this crate to find the tanuki.
• Head deeper into the cave until you find a small shrine and lit candles. The tanuki will also appear here. Investigate the area to find the key.

Once you obtain the key, head to Shinnojou’s cage and use the key to open it. After the cutscene ends, a new quest marker will appear in Inazuma City. Head to the quest marker and speak to Furuya Noboru to advance the quest. Following the brief observation, head south towards Kujou Estate to talk to Kujou Kamaji. After a slightly longer cutscene, the next quest marker will appear in the northern part of Inazuma City. Here, you will find a Kanjou Commission informant who you must follow without being seen.

This final task is a stealth section that requires you to observe the NPC without them seeing you. An eye symbol will appear above their head throughout the quest, telling you that they see you. The task will restart if you run too far away during the mission, so be sure to either hide nearby or run just far enough to avoid the reset. One way to avoid getting caught is by hiding next to the building near Hideo. After walking towards a food stall and the end of the path, he will briefly sprint away. Continue running toward him without being too far away or getting caught. You can switch between running and walking to make it easier to trail him.

After some time, a cutscene will start with Hideo speaking to a pair of guards. This cutscene will mark the end of the quest. The final quest of the Firmiana Leaf Falls story act, The Wind Settles, will start immediately.

The Wind Settles

The parts you must complete throughout the quest are as follows:

1. Wait for two days
2. Go to Ritou to check on the situation
3. Talk to the people of Ritou
4. Meet and talk to Hiiragi Chisato
5. Go to the Kamisato Estate to meet Ayato
6. Talk to Kamisato Ayato

Before you proceed with the last quest of The Firmiana Leaf Falls, you must wait two in-game days. You can either do other activities to pass the time or use the in-game clock to skip ahead two days. Once you have waited two days, the quest will automatically update. Your next destination is Ritou. After travelling to Ritou, three new markers will appear, prompting you to speak to three different NPCs. Each conversation will initiate brief cutscenes, each describing the current situation. Head to Hiiragi Estate and talk to Hiiragi Chisato to advance the quest.

To end the questline, head back to Kamisato Estate and speak to Ayato. One last cutscene will play with a conversation between the Traveller, Ayato and Chisato. After the end of the cutscene, you will appear outside the Kamisato Estate, marking the end of The Firmiana Leaf Falls act of Kamisato Ayato’s story quest in Genshin Impact.
