If you’re looking to get invested in another crossover to the Minecraft universe, you’re in luck with the newest franchise leap. The Minecraft Dungeons & Dragons Crossover is taking the simple game and giving it a classic overhaul, one that allows the player to take on the classic tabletop franchise. With this new D7D DLC on the way, you can soon dive into the mines or take on hordes as your favorite class. With the new D&D add-ons to the main game, you can adventure around the world as one of the four classes and explore locations within the Forgotten Realms, such as places like Icewind Dale and Candlekeep.
The new Minecraft Dungeons & Dragons Crossover allows you to play as either a Rogue, a Wizard, a Paladin, or a Barbarian. With your class and wealth of abilities at your disposal, you can take on enemies like mimics, mindflayers, and other monsters. Each character class in the crossover is unique, each coming with their own attacks. While it may look like Minecraft on the surface, this D&D crossover even has unique mechanics attached, giving it a unique playstyle right from the get-go. Just like in a campaign, you can roll dice for successful attempts at actions, and even have a set of unique actions and attacks at your disposal. For example, you can cast spells as a Wizard, or backstab as a Rogue.
More on D&D in Minecraft
The crossover is true to the origins of D&D itself, starting you off in a Dungeon Master’s basement where they lay the groundwork for your adventure. Your adventure comes with all the bells and whistles, including voice acting, an environment to explore, and enemies to slay. You can play the Minecraft Dungeons & Dragons Crossover by yourself, or enjoy the entire campaign alongside your friends. This crossover promises to be enjoyable for everyone, even if you’re completely new to D&D.
The Minecraft Dungeons & Dragons Crossover DLC releases sometime this Spring in 2023.
