The release of New Pokemon Snap is just around the corner on April 30 for $59.99 on the Nintendo Switch. But for eager trainers and Pokegraphers, there is a way to get an early, closer look at the New Pokemon Snap Lental region — while getting a bonus of My Nintendo Points along the way. How? Simply visit the official Explore the Lental Region website.
Once you’re there, you can click through different spots on the map to learn more about the region and different Pokemon interactions and habitats in the game. Each location also offers a special digital photo filter frame that lets you decorate photos and selfies and share them directly to friends and family through Twitter or other social media accounts if that’s your thing. And of course, earn My Nintendo Platinum Points along your journey and then redeem them for various My Nintendo Rewards, including in-game items in New Pokemon Snap.
This Lental region tour doesn’t need to be completed in a single session though, so feel free to explore the site multiple times. However, ExploreLental.com will only be available until May 31. With that in mind, you better join in quickly for those sweet Nintendo Points before it expires!
A continuation to the 2000 Nintendo 64 title, New Pokemon Snap is a Pokemon game where instead of capturing them for battles, you take photos of the cute monsters in their natural habitat. The new island, Lental, features dense jungles and vast deserts, all home to different wild Pokemon. As said before, here you will take on the role of a budding Pokemon photographer and work with the Lental region expert, Professor Mirror, and his assistant, Rita, on an ecological survey. Professor Mirror will evaluate your photography prowess as you investigate and capture the mysterious Illumina phenomenon through your lenses and build your very own Pokemon Photodex.
