Sucker Punch Productions wowed audiences with their trailer for the new game, Ghost of Tsushima during the Sony press conference at E3. Check out the trailer below…
The game is set in Feudal Japan, during the Mongol invasion (which took place between 1274 and 1281) and is an action-adventure with stealth elements. The trailer shows off some of the most gorgeous visuals ever seen on the PlayStation 4, with the long grassy hills dancing merrily in the wind and the game’s large draw distance showing off several trees far beyond the main character’s vicinity.
The animations are also mind-bogglingly detailed in regards to the characters’ clothing and facial expressions as well as fighting moves. Accompanying the game’s visual feast, the gameplay looks just as appetizing, with some gory hack n’ slash gameplay that also allows the player to employ stealth strategies not too dissimilar from Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight. Speaking of the Dark Knight, it seems the player character is capable of climbing surfaces as the game footage showed him climbing up a house before leaping down to send his enemies to their graves. The game also gives the player the ability to traverse the landscape on horse as well as on foot.
Since Sucker Punch Games were the minds behind such heavily-lauded franchises as Infamous and Sly Cooper, we can expect great effort in the final product.
As of now, no official release date has been given for Ghost of Tsushima but check back with us here at the Nerd Stash for more on this as new information comes to light.
