God of War: Ragnarok is a highly anticipated game. It is one title that gamers have been expecting since the start of the Norse storyline, but many have wondered what it looks like. Finally, there isĀ a Ragnarok trailer to showcase that.
God of War: Ragnarok Showcase Trailer
This is set to be the 9th installment overall in the series. And it will be the second in Kratos’ Norse adventures. As the threat of the Asgardian apocalypse looms, Kratos must prepare his son Atreus for what is coming. If the kid is to participate in God of War: Ragnarok’s titular battle, he thinks that he should know who Loki is and what they want, but his father doesn’t believe he is ready. And only when he is will his father give him more information.
From the God of War: Ragnarok trailer, we might be able to infer Loki has possibly taken the guise of a female-presenting form. In the middle of the forest, Kratos is attacked by someone unknown with a weapon, but it is all we see of the encounter. And the monsters that Kratos encounters in God of War: Ragnarok appear far more fearsome than before. Aside from the inevitable face-off with the trickster god, we see from the video above that Thor Odinson will give the father-son duo a potential fight.
The Ragnarok trailer doesn’t show us everything, but we know that father and son will have to take on the Asgardians of ancient Scandanavia. Who will they face off against first? How will the pair fare against the Midgard Serpent? From the ancient streets of Greece to the mountains of Scandanavia, time will tell what the future hold for Kratos and Atreus.
Because God of War: Ragnarok is a PS5 exclusive, you’ll need a next-gen system to play. Previously, the game had been slated for a 2021 release, but the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed the release until sometime in 2022. Check out the previous installment here while you wait.
