New Google Pixel 6A leaks have now revealed that the unreleased phone will not have a headphone jack. The Google Pixel 6A is Google’s upcoming budget-friendly phone. Now, a month after Google’s last phone releases, the leaks for the upcoming phone have started rolling in. Posted by reliable tech leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks), the new Google Pixel 6A leaks show the new compact midrange smartphone without a headphone jack.
According to the leaks, the Pixel 6A will not contain any drastic redesigns, and the phones generally sport the same look like the standard Pixel 6. It has the same black camera strip on its rear, housing two cameras, and a flash, along with a hole-punch selfie camera on the front. The two phones are almost identical.
The Google Pixel 6A also has a USB-C port as well as a speaker and a microphone. However, two noticeably absent things are a fingerprint sensor and a headphone jack. However, fingerprint support is not going anywhere, and so we know that the fingerprint scanner might be placed under the display like in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
The Pixel 6A could also be the first midrange Pixel phone to come without a headphone jack. This would mean Google is finally moving towards embracing the idea of leaving out a headphone jack, regardless of the budget range of the phone.
Measuring at 152.2 x 71.8, with a 6.2-inch display, the 6A is looking to be a more compact design. The release day of the Pixel 6A is still unknown, and the flagship counterparts of the phone, the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, came out only a month ago.
