Doug Bradley will play Joe Chill in the upcoming The CW superhero series Gotham Knights. You may not recognize Doug Bradley without the prosthetics and makeup. He played the original Pinhead in the Hellraiser film franchise. He will take on a different kind of villain for The CW superhero series. Joe Chill is the criminal that tragically killed Bruce Wayne’s parents. After fifty years in prison, Chill is set to be executed but he has many secrets to spill. Doug Bradley will star in episode 6 of Gotham Knights. The producers of the series Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash, and James Stoteraux thought Bradley would be perfect to play such a notorious character. Joe Chill essentially shapes Bruce Wayne’s life and leads him to put on the bat suit. Bob Kane with Bill Finger created the “Patron Saint of Bad Guys”.
Doug Bradley Has Left His Mark in Pop-Culture with Pinhead
Joe Chill certainly shaped the face of crime in Gotham but Pinhead definitely helped shape the face of horror movies. From the wicked costumes to the many famous lines from Hellraiser, Bradley created an iconic horror character. The stoic cenobite Pinhead lead some very gruesome punishments that they liked to pass off as pleasure. It’s not a big leap that Doug Bradley will play Joe Chill in The CW superhero series Gotham Knights. Chill is in fact like many of the cold-hearted people that appear in the Hellraiser films. The producers chose right when they chose Doug Bradley for this role in Gotham Knights. Where Pinhead is a bit of a monster, Chill creates one by killing Wayne’s parents.
The show hasn’t started yet, and fans will have to wait a few weeks until Bradley makes his appearance on The CW superhero series. Gotham Knights will premier on March 14, 2023, on The CW.
