Gran Turismo 7 got big attention at the beginning of the year. The game has been PlayStation-exclusive since its first game; we can also say it’s the Forza of PlayStation. Although its biggest rival, Forza Horizon, is also available on PC, Gran Turismo has never been released for another platform for years. Surprisingly, Gran Turismo 7 CEO explains they’re currently considering porting the game for PC. It was never on the team’s calendar for years, but it looks like they also want to compete in the PC game market.
Gran Turismo 7 was another hit PlayStation game which is released for PS4 and PS5. Especially on the PS5 version, it has shiny graphics and realistic gameplay. Forza Horizon and Need For Speed are the current dominators of PC racing games, but this might change with Gran Turismo’s move.
Gran Turismo 7 Might Get Ported Into a PC Game
Gran Turismo 7’s PS5 version is at least good as its competitors. It’s been a dream to play it on PC, and it might happen. Sony is eager to bring its first-party games to PC more than ever. We’ve seen God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc., lately. Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi says the team is considering porting the game to PC. They’re researching this, and Yamauchi also says:
“Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title. There are not many platforms which could run the game in 4K/60p natively, so one way we make that possible is to narrow down the platform.”
PlayStation 4 might not be the best platform to enjoy good graphics, but the PC is. Every first-part Sony title had better graphics on PC, close to the PlayStation 5 quality. Gran Turismo 7’s PC release would be another big hit among racing games. But the truth is, the possible port is way too far from the release. We hope to hear more from the team.
